Calculated Evapotranspiration
HOBOlink provides Reference ET (ETo) for a short canopy, calculated with the Penman-Monteith equation, as recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
- Calculated hourly; provided as either hourly or daily totals, in inches or millimeters
- Requires one of each of the following sensors:
- Temperature and Humidity - RXW-THC-XXX, S-THB-M002 or S-THB-M008
- Wind Speed - RXW-WCF-XXX, S-WCF-M003, S-WSET-B, S-WSB-M003, or S-WCG-M003
- Solar Radiation - RXW-LIB-XXX or S-LIB-M003
- If using RXW sensors, a HOBOnet Manager (RXMOD-RXW-XXX) is also required
- Sensors should be deployed together over a short-grass reference surface
